Situated just north of Benidorm, L'Alfàs del Pi offers a quieter alternative with a mix of residential areas, green spaces, and a lovely coastline. The main beach, Playa de l'Albir, is a long stretch of pebbly sand backed by a palm-lined promenade. At the northern end of the beach, a coastal path leads to the iconic Albir Lighthouse (Faro de l'Albir), perched on a rocky cliff. The short hike rewards visitors with stunning views of the Mediterranean and the Serra Gelada mountains. The town itself has a small old quarter with a whitewashed church and a few tapas bars. L'Alfàs del Pi is also home to the Benidorm Palace, a large entertainment venue, and several golf courses. The nearby Serra Gelada Natural Park offers excellent hiking and birdwatching opportunities, with trails that wind through cliffs and coves. Families appreciate the calm waters and playgrounds along the beach, while the Sunday market is a popular draw for local crafts and produce.
