Torre Bellesguard, also known as Casa Figueras, is a lesser-known gem by Antoni Gaudí, built between 1900 and 1909 on the site of a former medieval castle of King Martin of Aragon. The structure combines Gaudí's signature organic forms with Gothic and Mudéjar elements, featuring a striking tower, colorful trencadís mosaics, and wrought-iron details. The interior is equally impressive, with a grand hall, chapel, and rooms that showcase Gaudí's innovative use of space and light. The surrounding gardens offer panoramic views of Barcelona and the mountains. Unlike Gaudí's more famous works, Bellesguard is quieter, allowing for a more intimate experience of his genius.

A bit of history
Torre Bellesguard was commissioned by the Figueras family on the ruins of the summer palace of King Martin I of Aragon. Gaudí incorporated the castle's history into the design, using Catalan Gothic style and symbols of the Catalan flag. The house remained in the Figueras family until it opened to the public in 2013.
