El Castell de Guadalest is a historic fortress dramatically situated atop a rocky pinnacle in the village of Guadalest, about 25 minutes from Altea. The castle dates back to Moorish times and provides panoramic views of the Guadalest Valley and the turquoise reservoir below. Visitors can explore the castle ruins, walk through the narrow streets of the charming village, and visit several small museums. Its precarious position and stunning scenery make it one of the most photographed landmarks in the Costa Blanca region.
