Castillo de Salobreña is a well-preserved Moorish castle perched on a rocky hill in the center of Salobreña. Originally built in the 10th century, it later served as a royal residence for Nasrid sultans. Visitors can explore its towers, ramparts, and courtyards, and enjoy stunning 360-degree views of the coastline, the town, and the surrounding sugarcane fields. The castle also houses a small museum with artifacts from its history. Its strategic location made it a key defensive stronghold, and today it's a peaceful spot to imagine medieval life.
