Castrum Album, also known as the White Fortress, is an Iberian-Roman archaeological site perched on a hill near Alicante. The site offers a glimpse into the region's pre-Roman and Roman past, with remnants of defensive walls, dwellings, and a water cistern. Excavations have revealed artifacts from the Iberian period (6th–1st centuries BC) and later Roman occupation. Visitors can walk among the ruins and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Mediterranean Sea. The site is less crowded than other historical attractions, providing a peaceful, contemplative experience. Informational panels explain the history and significance of the structures. The hill itself is part of a natural park, making it a pleasant hike.
