The Siege of Albarracín in 1284 was a key event in the Christian reconquest of the region. Forces loyal to King Pedro III of Aragon besieged the town, which was then held by the rebellious noble Juan Núñez de Lara. The siege lasted several months and ended with the capture of the town, leading to the end of the Taifa of Albarracín.
