Gwanghwamun Square is a historic public square located in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace, honoring two of Korea's most revered figures: King Sejong the Great and Admiral Yi Sun-sin. The square features large bronze statues of both leaders, along with an underground exhibition hall about King Sejong's achievements, including the creation of Hangeul. Visitors can walk along the plaza, see the 12.3-meter-tall statue of Admiral Yi, and enjoy seasonal events like outdoor concerts or protests. The square offers a direct view of the palace and Bugaksan Mountain.
