Hwangnyongsa was the largest Buddhist temple in Silla history, covering over 80,000 square meters. Today, visitors walk among the stone foundation markers of the main hall and corridors, imagining the colossal scale. The centerpiece is the reconstructed nine-story pagoda, built using traditional methods, which stands as a testament to Silla's architectural ambition. The adjacent museum displays artifacts unearthed here, including roof tiles and gilt-bronze items, offering insight into the temple's spiritual and political importance.
