The Gyeongju Historic Areas are a UNESCO World Heritage site that clusters the most significant remains of the Silla Kingdom (57 BCE–935 CE). Visitors can explore the former capital's royal tombs at Daereungwon, the Cheomseongdae astronomical observatory, the ruins of Banwolseong Palace, and the scenic Anapji Pond. The area offers a walkable glimpse into ancient Korean civilization, with well-preserved artifacts and reconstructed structures set amid gardens and hills.
