Dongbaekseom is a small, lush island now linked to Busan's Haeundae Beach, offering a peaceful escape with panoramic sea views. Walking trails wind through dense camellia trees, which burst into red blossoms in winter and spring. Along the path, visitors find the statue of the legendary mermaid and the Nurimaru APEC House, a glass-walled pavilion with stunning ocean vistas. It's a favorite spot for sunset strolls and photo opportunities.
Don't miss
- The camellia forest, especially vibrant from December to March
- Nurimaru APEC House, a modern pavilion with panoramic views of Haeundae
- The coastal walk from Haeundae Beach around the island's perimeter
