Signal Hill is a distinctive flat-topped hill that forms the western end of the mountain bowl above Cape Town. It offers a much shorter and easier hike than its neighbors, making it ideal for a quick outdoor adventure. The summit provides sweeping views over the city, Table Bay, and Robben Island. Visitors often come for sunset, when the sky colors the ocean and the city lights begin to twinkle. The hill is also known for the noon gun, a cannon that fires daily at 12:00, a tradition dating back to the 1800s.
Don't miss
- Panoramic sunset views over Cape Town and Table Bay
- Noon gun firing ceremony at 12:00 daily
- Short, easy walk to the summit from the parking area
