The Stellenbosch Museum comprises four historic buildings in the town center, each restored to a different era. The main house, Schreuder House (1709), is the oldest townhouse in South Africa, furnished with Cape Dutch antiques. Other buildings include a Victorian cottage and a 19th-century pharmacy. Visitors can wander through rooms depicting domestic life, from kitchen to parlor, and view exhibits on local wine and cultural history. The museum offers a tangible link to the town's past.
