Hermanus is a charming coastal town on South Africa's Western Cape, renowned as one of the best places in the world for land-based whale watching. The star attraction is the Hermanus Cliff Path, a 12-kilometer route that hugs the coastline and provides front-row views of southern right whales that visit the bay from June to December. Visitors can walk, cycle, or jog along the path, stopping at lookout points and benches to watch whales breach and spout. The town also offers excellent restaurants, art galleries, and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a perfect base for exploring the Cape Whale Coast.
