Odongdo is a small, lush island just off Yeosu's coast, linked to the mainland by a 750-meter breakwater that doubles as a scenic promenade. The island is renowned for its dense groves of camellia trees, which burst into vibrant red blossoms from December to March, creating a striking contrast against the evergreen foliage. A winding trail leads to the Odongdo Lighthouse, built in 1905, offering panoramic views of the Yeosu coastline and the open sea. The park is also home to a variety of other plants and birds, making it a peaceful escape for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Don't miss

  • Stroll the camellia tunnel in winter when thousands of red flowers are in full bloom
  • Climb to the historic Odongdo Lighthouse for 360-degree views of the harbor and islands
  • Walk the breakwater at low tide and look for tidal pools with marine life
