Geobukseon Bridge is a striking cable-stayed bridge that spans the channel between Yeosu and Dolsan Island. Its design is inspired by the turtle ship (geobukseon), the iconic armored warship used by Admiral Yi Sun-sin. The bridge features a distinctive turtle-shaped tower and is illuminated at night, creating a dramatic reflection on the water. Visitors can walk or drive across, enjoying panoramic views of the sea and the city. It is both a functional transport link and a tribute to Korea's naval history.
Don't miss
- Walk across the bridge for stunning views of Yeosu Harbor and Dolsan Island.
- Photograph the turtle-shaped tower, especially beautiful when lit at night.
- Learn about the turtle ship's history at interpretive signs near the bridge.
