Mireuksan is the highest peak on Mireuk Island, rising 461 meters above the sea and providing some of the best panoramic views in Tongyeong. The mountain is crisscrossed with well-maintained hiking trails suitable for all levels, from a gentle 40-minute climb to longer loops. Along the way, you'll pass through dense forests of pine and bamboo, with occasional clearings that reveal the sparkling harbor and the jagged coastline of Hallyeohaesang National Park. At the summit, a small pavilion offers a 360-degree vista of the city, the bridge to Mireuk Island, and countless emerald islets dotting the water. It's a rewarding hike that captures the essence of Tongyeong's island-studded seascape.

Don't miss
