Naksansa is a serene Buddhist temple complex set on a rocky coastal bluff in Sokcho. Founded in the 7th century, it offers visitors a blend of spiritual heritage and stunning ocean views. The centerpiece is the 15-meter-tall bronze statue of Gwanseum, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, which faces the sea. The temple grounds include several halls, a pagoda, and a peaceful meditation pavilion. Visitors can walk along coastal trails, listen to the waves, and enjoy the harmonious blend of architecture and nature.
