Eoseungsaengak is a distinctive peak along the slopes of Hallasan, Jeju's iconic shield volcano. Hikers ascend a well-maintained trail through dense evergreen forest and rocky terrain to reach the summit, where sweeping views of the island's coastline, crater lakes, and surrounding peaks await. The area is especially popular for early morning visits to catch the sunrise over the ocean. Unlike the more strenuous climb to Hallasan's crater, this route provides a rewarding vantage point with less effort, making it a favorite for casual hikers and photographers seeking dramatic natural scenery.
Don't miss
- Panoramic summit views of Jeju's coastline and Hallasan's crater
- Sunrise hiking experience with clear sightlines to the eastern horizon
- Dense evergreen forest trail with volcanic rock formations
