Ilsan Lake Park is one of South Korea's largest man-made urban parks, centered on a picturesque 300,000-square-meter lake. Visitors can enjoy paved walking and cycling paths that wind through themed gardens, grassy lawns, and wetlands. The park is especially lively during spring when cherry blossoms bloom and during the Goyang International Flower Festival, but offers year-round tranquility for picnics, birdwatching, and outdoor recreation. Its scale and integration with the surrounding city make it a distinctive green oasis in the Seoul metropolitan area.
Don't miss
- Stroll along the 4.7-kilometer lakeside promenade with views of the water and skyline.
- Visit the themed gardens, including a rose garden and a water lily pond.
- Rent a paddleboat or bicycle to explore the park from different perspectives.
