Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) is the largest museum of contemporary African art in the world, located in a converted grain silo at the V&A Waterfront. The building's industrial architecture is a highlight, with the central atrium carved out of the silo's concrete tubes. The museum's collection features works by artists from across Africa and its diaspora, spanning painting, sculpture, photography, and installation. Visitors can also enjoy panoramic views of Table Bay from the rooftop sculpture garden.
Don't miss
- Admire the dramatic atrium, where the original grain silo tubes have been sculpted into a cathedral-like space.
- Explore the permanent collection, which includes works by artists like El Anatsui, William Kentridge, and Zanele Muholi.
- Visit the rooftop sculpture garden for views of the Waterfront and Table Mountain.
