The Walls of Piran are remnants of the town's medieval fortifications, built from the 7th to 16th centuries to defend against invaders. Several sections and towers remain, including the prominent Town Wall and the defensive towers along the hillside. Visitors can walk along the preserved paths, which offer elevated perspectives of Piran's terracotta rooftops, the bell tower of St. George's, and the azure Adriatic.
