Originally built in the late 19th century, it provides a welcoming refuge for hikers and climbers tackling nearby peaks like Mount Triglav. The lodge serves traditional Slovenian dishes and offers simple dormitory-style rooms, preserving a rustic alpine atmosphere. Visitors can relax on the terrace with views of the surrounding cliffs and forests, or use it as a base for day hikes. The lodge is named after Jakob Aljaž, a priest and mountaineer who championed Alpine tourism.
