Bovec is a picturesque town in the Soča Valley, nestled at the foot of the Kanin Mountains. Known as the adventure capital of Slovenia, it draws outdoor enthusiasts for white-water rafting on the emerald Soča River, kayaking, canyoning, and hiking. The town itself is small and walkable, with a central square, a few shops, and restaurants serving local cuisine like trout and žlikrofi (dumplings). Bovec's history is tied to the Isonzo Front of World War I, and the nearby Kluže Fortress is a reminder of that era. The town's relaxed vibe and stunning natural setting make it a perfect base for exploring the Triglav National Park.
