St. Emmeram's Cathedral is the heart of Nitra Castle, serving as the main church of the Diocese of Nitra. The building is a blend of Gothic and Romanesque styles, with its twin spires visible from across the city. Inside, the cathedral houses a richly decorated main altar and a crypt containing the tombs of bishops. The cathedral's history stretches back to the 11th century, with the current structure largely rebuilt in the 17th century after a fire.
