✨ HighlightAt first I was so disappointed with the Ion orchard jumbo seafood because it was meant to celebrate my birthday and I called to ask if any table available as it was a late lunch/early dinner, a lady address herself as NOVA said to me on the phone that yes is available so I drove over. When arrived at around 440pm, she said I have to return the table by 6pm so I told her that she should have told me on the phone that I have less than 90 mins to finish up my meal. Because I have to feed my kid and I am ordering quite a few dishes including crab and crab usually take a while to serve. Usually those other outlets that I visit would told us before hand by what time to return the table and ask if u are OK with that. But she didn't which had cause me so much inconvenience. Feeling disappointed I walked away and called the riverside point jumbo. Desmond picked up the call and was so nice to assist me and helped me with the reservation, I am very happy that he did an excellent service recovery after hearing my disappointment with the Ion orchard outlet. Kudos to the service crew at riverside point. They are all friendly and polite. We, 2 Adults and 1 child enjoyed our food. Keep it up Riverside point jumbo.→

✨ HighlightHad visited Swee Choon for supper previously, and it wasn’t a great experience—perhaps due to the time of day, as service was not as prompt. However, my recent visit on a Saturday morning at 11:30am was a completely different story. It was a fantastic experience! I deliberately went early to beat the lunch crowd, and it paid off. There were plenty of tables available, and the food felt noticeably fresher. As a huge fan of egg yolk lava buns (fried ones, specifically), I was thrilled to find them at Swee Choon. They were heavenly! A tip for fellow diners: the ordering menu only specifies the steamed version, so be sure to let the staff know you’d like the fried ones. Another standout was the sweet potato lava bun (pictured in purple)—unique and delicious. The lychee cheese balls (pink in my photo) were just alright; I’ve had better versions elsewhere. But the char siew cheong fun was a highlight for me. It’s not overly fatty, which is perfect if you prefer a leaner filling. Since there were only two of us dining, we couldn’t try as many dishes as we wanted, but I’ll definitely be back to sample more. Overall, a great experience this time around!→

✨ HighlightWe booked 2 tables to celebrate my mum’s birthday. There’s a minimum charge for use of the private room but it was totally worth it - for the privacy, attentive service, ambience and music. The 10 dishes that we had were generally good; cold dish was well presented, each of us have our different favorite dish. The portions were just right and we finished every dish. We opted for less salt in our food and the chef fulfilled that very well. My mum particularly loved the finale where the cake and longevity buns were trolleyed in and the subsequent photo shoot. ✨ HighlightThe restaurant was quite crowded on a weekday afternoon, but the lively atmosphere added to the experience. It was no surprise, given that they were offering an appealing $17 lunch deal, which included a main dish, a dumpling, and a drink. I opted for the Braised Pork Noodles, which was absolutely delicious. One of the highlights was their unique fusion-style dumplings, such as the Smoked Duck Dumplings and the original dumpling made with minced pork collar, ginger soy sauce, Napa cabbage, and black vinaigrette. Each bite had a perfect balance of flavors. To complement the meal, I chose the Passion Fruit Ginger Soda, which was refreshingly light and not overly sweet—just the right balance of fruity and tangy with a hint of ginger spice. ✨ HighlightFor our Family National Day Breakfast this year, instead of Roti Prata or Red Star Dim Sum, the children arranged to have Dim Sum Brunch at Yan Ting (St. Regis). Oh my, the spread of food was so wide and every item was delicious and marvelously prepared. Most of all, the service of the staff was impeccable; they attended to the minor details even though we didn’t make requests. The type and amount of food that we consumed was more than in a formal banquet - abalone soup with black fungus and goji berries, baked lobster, baked fresh scallop with caviar, fried soon hock fillet, beef steak cubes, just to name some. The spread of dessert was so tempting and there was even egg tart with bird’s nest. The family enjoyed the brunch (ending like lunch) thoroughly - yes, I busted my calorie intake exceedingly 😋😂 Ah yes, little Adria joined us first time and she was excited! Thank you children and Happy National Day 🇸🇬🎊🎉→

✨ HighlightAmazing food! Had the Set A ($138) and all the courses were exceptional! The food has more quality than quantity which I prefer. However, I felt that the restaurant was very crowded on a Sunday 1PM and recommend booking the private room. They also had a limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes for dining time which was very short and rushed us after we passed the limit as other people were waiting for us to finish. It was still good service and good food though!→

✨ HighlightI found the food to be quite nice, although it feels somewhat overrated in terms of its grading. Upon arriving at noon, I noticed a long queue outside, so I highly recommend making reservations if you want to avoid waiting. The first dish arrived after about 10 minutes, which is impressive, and the subsequent items were served promptly within 20 minutes. The establishment itself is brand new and maintains a clean atmosphere. However, I do miss the nostalgic charm of the old location; the previous setting had a unique character that's now lost. Overall, while the food is enjoyable, the hype surrounding it may lead to inflated expectations.→

✨ HighlightHad a great time at this hotpot place! The food is fresh and comes in good portions, perfect for the four of us. Really appreciated the special mixed drink—it wasn’t too sweet, which was a nice touch. The garlic crawfish were already deshelled, making them super convenient to enjoy. The golden chicken soup was decent, and the big chicken leg was shredded and mixed with their special seasoning, including sesame oil—it tasted absolutely heavenly! The service was alright as well. Overall, a satisfying experience!→

✨ HighlightFamed for the crab bee hoon and certainly live up to it's reputation. The bee hoon is infused with crab flavour and yet still plenty wok hei doused in savory sauce. The crab is also very fresh and juicy. Comparable to Sin Huat in geylang I feel and price more reasonable at $160 for a 1.4 kg crab. My next favourite has to be the fried baby squid 苏东仔, really delicious. Hei cho and cockles were good too. And the fried corn were unique first time eating such a dish and it's very nice! Other dishes were pretty average. Do try the homemade barley really homemade goodness. Overall nice tze char and reasonable price. do make a reservation before coming in.→

✨ HighlightMy favourite prawn noodle in East coast (there's at least 2 others in the area). Nice thick umami sweet broth, with just the right amount of pork lard. Their normal sized prawns are just nice and I like that they came peeled (jumbo prawn doesn't).→

✨ HighlightSome of the best breakfast I've had in Singapore. They specialize in kaya toast and we pretty much sampled almost every kind they offered. My favorite was definitely the ultra thing kaya toast, where they take one slice of bread, slice it in half so you have two super thin slices of bread, toasts it and then fill it with kaya and butter. And they do it twice, so you essentially get two sandwiches from two slices of bread. The crisp and char paired with the kaya and butter were absolutely divine. Their kopi was also delicious; strong and fragrant. We opted to have the french toast kaya toast at the end and while it's quite the novelty, it's probably not something I'd get again. I would stick with the thin kaya toast :)→
