Quba Mosque holds the distinction of being the first mosque built in Islamic history, established by Prophet Muhammad in 622 CE. Located on the outskirts of Medina, it is a serene place of worship with a striking white and minaret-studded architecture. The mosque has been renovated several times, blending traditional and modern elements. Visitors come to pray here, as the Prophet said that performing two rak'ahs (units of prayer) at Quba is equivalent to an Umrah (minor pilgrimage). The mosque's well, known as Bir al-Aris, is also historically significant.

Don't miss

  • Perform two rak'ahs of prayer, which tradition holds brings great spiritual reward.
