Guaita is the oldest and most iconic of the Three Towers of San Marino, perched on the western summit of Monte Titano. Built in the 11th century, this fortress once served as a prison and now offers a glimpse into the republic's medieval past. Visitors can climb the tower for expansive views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The interior houses a small museum with historical artifacts, and the rugged stone walls evoke a sense of ancient defense.

Don't miss

  • Climb the tower for sweeping views of the Marche and Emilia-Romagna regions
  • Explore the small museum inside featuring medieval weapons and prison cells
  • Photograph the fortress's distinctive crenellations and stone architecture
