Gerhardt's Mill, also known as the Grudinin Mill, stands as a hauntingly preserved ruin in central Volgograd. During the Battle of Stalingrad, the mill was a key defensive position for Soviet soldiers. Today, its bombed-out walls and exposed beams offer a visceral glimpse into the ferocity of urban combat. Visitors can walk around the exterior and peer through shattered windows, while the adjacent museum displays artifacts and photographs from the battle. The mill is part of the larger Battle of Stalingrad memorial complex, making it an essential stop for history enthusiasts.
