The Vladivostok Synagogue, constructed between 1910 and 1917, stands as the sole Jewish religious building in the city. Its red-brick facade with Moorish Revival elements reflects the eclectic style of the era. The synagogue was closed during the Soviet period and later returned to the Jewish community in the 1990s, undergoing restoration. Today, it serves an active congregation and hosts cultural events. Visitors can admire the restored interior, including the ark and stained-glass windows, and learn about the history of Vladivostok's Jewish community through exhibits.
Don't miss
- Moorish Revival architecture with ornate brickwork and arched windows
- Restored sanctuary with original ark and decorative elements
- Small museum documenting Jewish life in the Russian Far East
