The Petrodvorets Watch Factory, founded in 1721 by Peter the Great, is one of Russia's oldest industrial enterprises. Today, it operates as both a working factory and a museum dedicated to watchmaking. Visitors can tour the museum to see historic timepieces, including pocket watches and marine chronometers, and learn about the factory's role in Russian horology. The factory still produces watches under the brand 'Raketa', and the museum offers a glimpse into the craftsmanship and history of Russian watchmaking.
Don't miss
- View the collection of historic watches, including those made for the Russian imperial court.
- Watch live demonstrations of watch assembly and repair by skilled craftsmen.
