The Alyosha Monument, officially the Monument to the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic, stands 35 meters tall on a hill overlooking Murmansk. Erected in 1974, it commemorates Soviet soldiers who fought in the Arctic during World War II. The site includes an eternal flame and offers sweeping views of the city, the Kola Bay, and the surrounding tundra. It's a popular spot for both reflection and photography.
