King's Gate is a neo-Gothic structure built in the 19th century as part of Königsberg's fortifications. It is one of the only surviving city gates and now houses the 'Museum of the City's History'. Visitors can explore exhibits on the Teutonic Knights, the Prussian monarchy, and the devastation of World War II. The gate's facade features statues of notable figures, including King Frederick I. The museum offers a compact but rich journey through Kaliningrad's layered past.

Don't miss

  • See the three sandstone statues above the gate: King Frederick I, Duke Albert, and King Ottokar II.
  • Explore the museum's exhibits on Königsberg's medieval and Prussian history.
