The Scholars' Stairs are a historic covered wooden staircase in Sighișoara, built in 1642 to provide sheltered access to the Church on the Hill and the nearby school. Climbing the 175 steps, visitors pass through a tunnel-like structure with original wooden supports and a tiled roof. The ascent rewards with panoramic views of the citadel and surrounding countryside. The stairs remain a functional pedestrian route and a tangible link to the town's medieval educational heritage.
