Falésia Beach is one of the Algarve's most iconic shorelines, extending for over six kilometers beneath towering cliffs striped in red and white. The wide, sandy beach offers plenty of space for sunbathing, beach games, and leisurely strolls. Visitors can walk for miles along the water's edge, stopping to admire the unique rock formations and fossilized shells embedded in the cliffs. The beach is relatively undeveloped, with only a few beach bars, preserving its natural beauty. It's a favorite for photographers, especially at sunset when the cliffs glow warmly.
Don't miss
- Walk the entire length of the beach to admire the red-and-white cliff striations
- Photograph the fossil-rich cliffs at golden hour for stunning shots
- Relax on the quiet eastern end, away from the main access points
