Casa da Música is Porto's premier concert venue, a bold architectural statement by Rem Koolhaas and his firm OMA. Completed in 2005, the building resembles a faceted white concrete block, seemingly carved into shape. Inside, the main auditorium features a dramatic glass-walled rear that offers views of the city during performances. The venue hosts a diverse program of classical, jazz, world music, and contemporary performances, as well as guided tours that explore its unique design. Visitors can admire the building's sculptural form from the outside, or step inside to experience its innovative spaces, including the smaller, flexible Sala 2. The building's location in the Rotunda da Boavista makes it a prominent landmark in Porto's cultural scene.
