The Santa Justa Lift is a 19th-century wrought-iron elevator designed by Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard, a disciple of Gustave Eiffel. It rises 45 meters, linking the lower Baixa streets to the higher Chiado neighborhood. The top platform provides a stunning view over the city's rooftops and the castle. Though a short ride, it's a popular attraction for its unique architecture and vantage point.
