Padrão do Salado is a Gothic stone monument erected in the mid-14th century to commemorate the Christian victory at the Battle of Salado (1340) against the Moors. It stands in the Largo da Oliveira, a square in Guimarães' historic center, near the Church of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira. The monument consists of a slender pillar topped by a cross and a small canopy, with carved shields and decorative elements. It is a rare surviving example of a medieval commemorative pillar and a symbol of the city's historical importance.
