Gaeiras is a quiet village in the parish of Gaeiras, just south of the medieval town of Óbidos. Its narrow, cobbled streets are lined with whitewashed homes adorned with colorful flowerpots and traditional chimneys. The village centers around a small square with a church and a few local shops. Life here moves slowly, with farmers tending vineyards and olive groves in the surrounding countryside. Visitors come to experience authentic Portuguese village life, away from tourist crowds. The nearby Óbidos Lagoon offers additional nature walks and birdwatching opportunities.
