The Old Cathedral of the Holy Name of Jesus (Sé Velha de Bragança) was built in the 16th century and served as the diocesan seat until the new cathedral opened. Now deconsecrated, it houses the Museu do Abade de Baçal, a regional museum. Visitors explore its Renaissance architecture, including a Manueline portal, and view collections of sacred art, archaeology, and ethnography. The building itself, with its cloister and chapels, offers a journey through Bragança's religious and cultural heritage.
