The Roman Thermae of Maximinus are among the best-preserved public bath complexes in Portugal, discovered in the 20th century during urban excavations. The site showcases the typical bath sequence: a cold room (frigidarium) with a pool, a warm room (tepidarium), and a hot room (caldarium) with underfloor heating (hypocaust). Visitors can walk on elevated walkways above the original floors, viewing intricate geometric mosaics and the remains of marble-lined pools.
