Liberty Square (Plac Wolności) serves as the historic heart of Łódź, a circular plaza that was once the city's main marketplace. Today, it is dominated by the Tadeusz Kościuszko Monument, honoring the Polish national hero. The square is ringed by beautifully preserved tenement houses and public buildings from the 19th century, including the former Town Hall and the Church of the Assumption. Visitors can stroll the square, admire the architecture, and feel the pulse of the city's past and present. It's a popular meeting point and a gateway to nearby attractions like Piotrkowska Street.
