Piłsudski's Mound, also known as the Independence Mound, was built between 1934 and 1937 to commemorate Marshal Józef Piłsudski, the founder of modern Poland. Situated in the Las Wolski forest, it is the largest of Kraków's mounds, standing 35 meters high. A viewing platform at the top offers expansive views over the city and surrounding countryside. The mound is a symbol of national pride and a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful walk in nature.
