Yurakuen perhaps is my top Japanese restaurant as of this writing. I just love how quaint the experience dining there (although I think the carpet is due for replacement). Best time to go here is during lunch when they have the lunch sets. These sets come with miso soup, light salad sashimi, rice and fruits. And if you happen to have a membership, you can avail 50% off making each set only at P700 each. The sashimi quality is superb, the tempura is golden crisp. Great experience here!
First time dining here, and I ordered the Ladies Set. The grilled gindara was soft and moist, and the two slices of beef were excellent. I especially loved the mushroom and egg custard on the side, along with the shrimp tempura. We finished the meal with fresh sliced fruits for dessert. Overall, a great experience!
Yurakuen is best Japanese eat all you can restaurant so far in Manila, located inside Diamond Hotel, a prestigous hotel, they cook the fresh food right in front of you and aside from eat all-u-can, they are also drink all-u-can but can choose one type, the food includes mouth watering steaks, big U.S. scallops, and lamb chops, great value for money!
This is NOT "typical" japanese style. An open plan restaurant with some small, individual teppanyaki rooms. Food is OK but... a japanese experience - it is NOT
