Mount Polis is not a peak to climb but a high-altitude pass on the main road between Banaue and Bontoc. At around 1,800 meters, it provides sweeping views of pine forests, rolling hills, and distant peaks. Travelers often stop at the viewpoint to take photos, buy local strawberries or wood carvings from vendors, and enjoy the cool mountain air. The pass is also a gateway to hiking trails leading to nearby villages and rice terraces.
