Mount Hagen is an active stratovolcano rising to 3,778 meters in the Western Highlands. It is the second-highest peak in Papua New Guinea and a premier destination for adventurous trekkers. The multi-day climb passes through montane forests and alpine grasslands, culminating in panoramic vistas of the surrounding valleys and distant ranges.
