The Oak of Mamre, also called the Oak of Abraham, is a venerable tree located in Hebron. According to tradition, this is where Abraham pitched his tent and welcomed three angels. The site is enclosed within a Russian Orthodox monastery, and the tree itself is a large, ancient oak supported by scaffolding. Pilgrims and visitors come to see the tree and pray in the peaceful garden. It is a tangible link to biblical history and a place of quiet reflection.
