Kalawan is an ancient Buddhist monastery known for its large stupa and remarkably preserved architecture. The site features a spacious courtyard with cells for monks, a refectory, and a votive stupa. The main stupa, though partially ruined, still shows intricate stonework. Visitors can walk through the monastic quarters and imagine daily life. Its remote location adds to the sense of discovery, with fewer tourists than other Taxila sites.
