Qurum Beach

Qurum Beach is the most popular and beloved stretch of coastline in Muscat, a long, wide sweep of golden sand along the Gulf of Oman, backed by a pleasant promenade and framed by the dramatic Omani mountains. It's the city's favourite spot for an evening out: families gather to picnic, couples and friends stroll the corniche, joggers and walkers enjoy the sea breeze, and the calm, warm waters invite a swim. Cafés, restaurants, and ice-cream spots line the area, and the adjacent Qurum Natural Park (with its lake, gardens, and fountains) adds to the appeal. The relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, especially as the sun sets and the heat eases, captures everyday Muscat life.

It's free, open, and a lovely place to unwind, particularly in the cooler hours and months. Dress modestly in keeping with Omani culture (away from designated swimming areas).
