Tvindefossen is a spectacular waterfall plunging 152 meters in multiple cascades over a sheer rock face. Located just off the E16 highway between Voss and Flåm, it is a popular roadside stop. A short walk from the parking area leads to a viewing platform where visitors can feel the mist and hear the roar. The waterfall is fed by melting snow and is most impressive in late spring and early summer. Its accessibility and dramatic beauty make it a favorite photo opportunity.
Don't miss
- View the 152-meter cascade from the main platform, close enough to feel the spray.
- Photograph the waterfall with the surrounding green valley as backdrop.
- Visit in late spring for maximum water flow from snowmelt.
