Fløya is a prominent mountain overlooking Svolvær, offering one of the best vantage points in the Lofoten Islands. The hike to the summit is moderately challenging, winding through lush vegetation and rocky terrain, but the reward is a breathtaking 360-degree view of the town, the harbor, and the jagged peaks of the Lofoten Wall. On clear days, the vista extends across the Vestfjorden to the mainland. The trail is well-marked and popular among visitors seeking a rewarding day hike without technical climbing.
Don't miss
- Reach the summit for a panoramic view of Svolvær and the Lofoten archipelago
- Spot the Svolværgeita rock formation from above
- Enjoy the wildflowers and birdlife along the trail in summer
